1. What caught my eye in the article Judd Apatow, ‘Bridesmaids’ and Feminism by Ruth Franklin was Franklin talking about “how far the ‘female-driven’ film—those movies about women that men don’t want to make—can go.” (Franklin) The film Bridesmaids (2011) by Paul Feig is one of the movies that I found to be very relatable. The character Annie in this film is incredibly awkward and the unfortunate events that transpire in the film remind me of myself. While this film does not have a typical female character and some scenes are a bit brash, this film takes away some of the glam in Hollywood films and presents a more accurate description of modern women.
2. A romantic comedy usually consists of “two characters who are either in love with each
