Before becoming an English major, I studied in the area of Elementary Education. While serving under this program for a period of time, we were required to take two semesters of field observation. This observation assignment was to examine the classroom, help the teacher, document the teacher’s classroom management, and observe the different lessons taught. It was a complete a portfolio of daily logs, pictures, and worked I assisted in. Some of my duties to include, not limited to, provide instruction within the classroom, monitor students’ academic progress, and provide support for students and teachers, and to push the reinforcement of positive choices and behavior. Also, to support students who have a history of aggressive behavior, reduce suspensions and increase academic success, consult with the instructor in general education classes about the student’s progress within. In August of 2014, as I was hired as a Paraprofessional, Special Education One-on-One, within the Greensville County Public Schools. After my transition, I think became the In-School Suspension at Sussex Central Middle School for the 2014-2015 year, and was moved to assist the 6th & 7th grade for 2016-2017
