Kani Kubari Period 2 11/7/15 Word Count:306 Reflective Statement #3: Filicide I had little to no knowledge of filicide before I had to do research and present my interactive oral in class. I learned that filicide is when a parent kills their child for whatever reason they desire and sometimes on random impulses. I also learned that it's more common for mothers to kill their children than fathers. During my research on filicide I learned some of the motives of the parents who commit filicide as well as why parents commit filicide in the Ancient Greek culture vs now. With my new profound knowledge of filicide, I had more understanding behind Medea’s motives besides the obvious ones. The first obvious
