Incest is sexual activity between people who are so closely related that their marriage is illegal or forbidden by custom. In Roma Burshtein’s movie “Fill The Void”. She shows the family issues in an Israeli arrangedmarriage. Although, there are people that think it is a finely arranged marriage, many think it’s disturbing because it is forced love, and somewhat inceptous. Arranged marriage is a marriage planned and agreed to by the families or guardians of the bride and groom. Yochay and Shira are arranged by their family to get married for the benefit of others. It is forced upon her, like Adam and Eve leaving the garden. In this case, her mother stops talking to her,and just ignores her completely. On top of that, Yochay gets Shira to think about how their relationship could be by saying “you can take care of Mortechay”. This shows that he just wants a caretaker for his child and he doesn't want to do it alone. Additionally, they both showed out how they felt about the situation, by crying and saying things that should’ve never been said. This shows the hardships of forced love, and how it had a huge impact on the lives of both Yochay and Shira. 68% of victims are abused by family members. Yochay is Shira’s widow brotherinlaw, this means that they are closely related. He has a son that is her sister's son as well. This is quite awkward because it seems inceptuous.
