In the film Swing Kids, we look at Germany during WWII through the eyes of Peter, Thomas and Arvid, three friends who are rebelling by refusing to joining the Hitler Youth and spending their nights at Swing Clubs. It is through dance that the three are able to fight away the pain and misery of WWII. However, this quote by Thomas is significant because before he joined the Hitler youth Thomas mind was uttered with hate for Nazis and what they did to people, he protected a jewish boy getting hurt by a group of Nazis.
