The majority of the class used items varying in both uniqueness and symbolic value.
However, there were students that seemed unprepared, used objects for their literal significance, and some that just wanted the exercise to be over. Yet, despite the lack of enthusiasm from a small number of participants, I still gauge the social exercise as a success when taking into account the fact that my presumptions about most of the class were completely debunked, and I got the sense that a cooperative vibe within the class has been created. There was a recurring theme among a few members of the class; bubbles. Apparently, five people in the class all have bubbly personalities. I wouldn't be to harsh on them since they did technically answer the prompt. I just found it interesting that five random strangers happened to choose the same topic of interest and use (more or less), the same object. As more and more people presented, I noticed that a lot of them sounded like they were interviewing for a job; listing of some of their admirable traits or describing the nonapparent reasons why one would want to get to know them.
To be honest, I thought that the the men in the class would paint themselves as shipping beacons of manhood seeking out attention from the eighty percent female body of the class. Amongst the women in the class, I found it refreshing that so many decided to share the often buried quality of nerdiness or lack of social success ( a league I presumed belonged only to me). Sera shared the fact that she takes anti depressant medication, which stuck me as profound since so many of the women only painted themselves as bastions of fluffiness. She hinted at her history and how tumultuous it was, but she didn't go into great detail. Genesis blatantly processed her nerdiness by bringing what looked like a wand from Harry Potter. Now, I consider myself a fan of the movie series, and have even read the books, but the enthusiasm with which
