We've arranged a civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on Science and Technology. For the past few decades man is advancing into unknown realms of Technology. This advancement is to make life easy and to increase human comfort at home and at work and I would like to be an integral part of such betterment.
As a student of Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics Engineering, I look to postgraduate study to refine my knowledge and skills in my areas of interests. I intend to pursue a Masters degree in order to reach my goals. In my graduate studies, I have benefitted from the breadth of Mumbai University syllabus content that has given me a comprehensive exposure to the core area of electronics and Information sciences.
While at undergraduate school, I soon realized that I was more inclined towards learning computer languages such as C, C++, and over the last three years I had developed an interest in areas of information systems, project management and security related subjects. Also, studying subjects like Computer Organization and Architecture, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and embedded system, I have begun to appreciate the minutiae involved in the field. Reading books, journals and online discussions, related to technology management, gave me broad level overview of managing information, and using that information for making decision. It also enlightened me about how projects are managed. This motivated me to explore conception of management.
In my final year I have done a project based on titled ‘Auxiliary Auto braking System’ in Train. The project was designed to satisfy the security needs of the railways. To avoid accidents Auto braking mechanism was used. In the existing systems sensors are not mounted on the engine as well as on the signal. Due to the absence of IR receiver and transmitter the motorman is unable to acknowledge the signal during poor weather conditions. The action of Auto braking is such that we had attached sensor with the signal pole which will start transmitting the signal only when the red light is ‘On’. If there is green light no transmission. The engine had a sensor mounted on it which catches its transmitted signal and takes desire actions. If the motorman of the train is not acknowledging the red signal then Auto braking system does its work by cutting the supply of the train. The Microcontrollers used were AT89C2051 and AT89S52.
Looking outside the classroom I always have been on the forefront to participate in various cultural events like quiz, debates, elocutions and science exhibitions. I also participated in some major school events like social service camp and have represented the school in various sports events for badminton, women’s cricket and swimming. I hope to contribute to the college program in every possible way and would willingly share all my skills, talents and experience. I can take my share of responsibility and am an absolute team player.
