A computer is like a well-run firehouse. It has many different hard working parts that together make a solid beneficial “machine”. You may be thinking that a computer is really nothing like a firehouse, but if you think about it there are similarities. The head of a firehouse is the fire chief. The chief runs the house and on scene he/she gives orders for the firemen to do. His/her job is to get his team to work together efficiently so that the fire is put out safely, so all the firemen can make it home for supper! In a computer the fire chief is the processor. When you click on something the processor tells the correct parts to do their job. Every action a computer makes goes through the processor, just as every decision in the firehouse needs to be run by the chief first. …show more content…
They do what they are told and do their best to help others. In a computer the RAM acts as a firefighter by doing tasks the processor tells it to. In the firehouse the Kussmaul is used to keep electronics in the truck running even when the truck is off (Brentwood Fire and Rescue). The firetruck literally needs to be plugged in after it returns to the hall. In a computer this is like the motherboard, which is where all of the computers components plug into. The Kussmaul could also be like the power cord and power supply for a computer, because it keeps the truck charged and it powers all of the electronic components when the truck is off. After every fire call the firehouse is required to fill out a fire report. This gets entered into the computer and sent to county. In a computer the hard drive stores data in the computer such as Word documents or fire reports! The hard drive makes the saved documents easy to
