My dad made first-team all-conference when he played basketball or high school and I want to do the same for baseball. As of right now, I’m projected to be one of the main everyday starters and get a lot of playing time. Although, there are a couple of underclassmen that are behind me, if they perform better than me in these next couple of weeks then I won’t be getting the playing time I need to make the first team. Also last year the two players ahead of me were seniors but every team in our league had a good 3rd baseman behind them waiting to play. So I have to make sure I outperform them when we play them and when we don't so they don’t make the first team instead of me. One step I will take to become a first-team all-league player is by working harder than I did last year in practice. Last year I worked hard but I didn’t do it to the best of my abilities and this year I’m going to leave everything I have out on the field every time I play. I’m also going to have to do extra reps after practice is done and sometimes before
