The First Time I When on Vacation
I remember it like it was yesterday. I had two whole weeks of warm weather and nothing but pure fun. I have never been out of Pennsylvania before and I was absolutely excited to see what other states were like. I was only in second grade so I did not fully understand everything that was going on during this trip, but I understood the bottom line, simple pleasures of this trip.
We left for Florida on a dark Friday night. I was so excited. I have never been on a vacation before. I had no idea what to expect. I grew up on the shores of lake Erie, but I knew oceans were different, but how different? All these thought I pondered on as we made are way driving to Florida. Each state we passed the scenery was changing. Fewer trees like I saw at home, everything began to get more green and every time we would stop new people with different accents. My parents seem stressed, there was some arguing but I did not understand why. We were on vacation! We were about to be on a beach somewhere relaxing. Why were they fighting! It could not of been that fact that they were driving with three young children who were cranky from sitting in the car for so long and making them stop every other exit for bathroom breaks.
