Back story for performance
The year is 1914 and World War 1 has just begun and Eric's parents blame him for Eva/Daisy's death, Eric is suffering from extreme depression after loss of Eva (and his unborn child) whom he knows as Daisy, he was able to scrape enough together to pay of the debt and unable to cope with the situation in England has bought a small ocean side cottage where he lives with squalor and clinical depression coupled with his constant alcohol abuse.

The Monologue
*Eric is sitting in a chair with a table next to him, on the table is an empty glass and a bottle of alcohol*
Why did I move away from my "wonderful family" , I guess it was the weather or the impending artillery fire, I dont know, it was time to move on, get on with my new life, yes absolutely, *Looks around room* definatley suits me more than London, especially after the family blamed me for Daisy's... or Eva's suicide and practically disowned me for what we all did, but father who just wanted his money and nothing else, showed alot of appreciation when I got him his money by not stealing the rest of it from me. I decided I had to leave, get a fresh start, leave all that business with Eva and the Inspector behind, begin again in damp miserable northern England, great bloody decision Eric, moving to a place where you literally have no friends or family members who like or harbor any respect for you... except for my sister Sheila but she's in France with that posh git Gerald, huh Gerald, the reason Sheila took him back I will never understand , I mean he cheats on her, has an active part
