II. Society fails to realize that the term “model minority” to describe Asian America functions as a double-edged against the group
A. As a whole, Asian Americans are seen as industrious, studious, and intelligent people who achieved their current standings through their hard work and diligence
B. Many major contemporary intellectuals have established that this stance simply leads to an over-exaggeration of the success of Asian Americans.
C. Because of this sentiment, Americans are beginning to exclude Asian Americans from major social interactions in schools and at business meetings because of their perceived superiority III. Racial stereotypes restrict Asian Americans from gaining access to the highest of the jobs in the market.
