Fitbit has been around for a few years now, and its popularity has been increasing. The company has come up with a way to raise their sales for third quarter of this year and make the community healthier. It is a win-win situation all around. Their wellness program will benefit thousands of workers.
Companies like Barclays, BMC Software, and GoDaddy.com are all adding Fitbit to its roster. They buy thousands of units and either give them out to employees or allow their staff to buy them at discounted rates.
Barclays will order 75,000 units to start for its workforce and then eventually include the full 140,000 workers they have worldwide. Target also said they will be offering free and subsidized units to their massive roster of 330,000 employees.
