Every experience or challenges in life whether it be home, school or work needs an agenda or a plan and FlexPlan BSN degree program is no different. My personal goals towards achieving life challenges or experiences is formulating a plan and aim to attain successful outcome. When I started in this nursing career, my first assignment was rough. Task was not done on time and long after the tour I would finish the task given. I then realized that planning step by step what needs to be done prior to the start of the shift will work better with time management and all task will be accomplished.
I chose to attend the FlexPlan program however my assumption going in the program was it would be like any other online BSN program but at my own pace. Assignments due every-week with deadline to submit them along with weekly participations. After going through Orientation, I was impressed, the FlexPlan was the opposite. For about five years I’ve used a yearly planner for many reasons. For one this planner is a helpful daily reminder of the task I need to do. I’ve chosen to commit and get my bachelor’s degree with the FlexPlan program therefore the planner will be another helpful way of setting my target dates to complete each assignments. Knowing the FlexPlan program is earning my degree at my own pace, I will plan my studying according to a set schedule, with a least includes two days off devoted and focus on assignment completion with additional short periods of daily checking in on assignments. In doing this keep me up-to-date with the commitment I’ll make to Capella and to myself accomplishing my goals. Even though life may throw us unwanted situations my plans to stay focus and be up-to-date with schedule will make cushion for whenever a day like this comes
