This essay is written to design a new irrigation system for the football field. Throw out the process of designing the system there had to add a couple of thing. There where pipes and sprinklers witch needed to be installed in the way the designer wanted. All the sprinklers have to be connected with pipes.
The first steps to design the irrigation system are choosing the sprinklers that are going to be used. There where 3 options of sprinklers that could of been used: (Rain Bird) Spray Radius 8 ft to 15ft, 0 to 360 angle , (Orbit) spray radius 20 ft to 40ft , 40 to 360 angle and (Rain Bird pop up sprinkler) spray radius 19 ft to 32ft , 40 to 360 angle. To fill the field up with sprinklers we used head to head range. The placing of the sprinklers was set up by the spraying range of the sprinklers. 4 sprinklers out of 50 are spraying at a 90 angle to covering the four corners. There are 21 sprinklers that are spraying at a 180 angle to cover up the sides and the other 25 are in the center spraying at a 360 angle. Under the sprinklers there are 6 pipes, 5 out of the 6 pipes are 360ft long and 1 is 160 ft long. Fist to determine the are of the football field we had to do leight width so it would be 360 ft 160ft. The area of the field is 57,600 sq ft.Then to determine how fare the 4 corners sprinklers are going to spray we solved this ( 90360) 402=1,256sq2. For the 180 degree angle sprinklers we solved this ( 180360) 402=2,512sq2. For the sprinklers that sprayed 360 degree angle we solved the area of a circle like this 402=
