Case 1 On April 13th 2017, In Forest Park Georgia A teenage boy named Malachi Stephens was on an instagram live showing off a pistol that he traded for his iphone when he put the gun to his head trying to be cool and show that he's fearless when his finger slipped and he fataly shot hiself. His parents rushed into his room to see if he knew what that noise was and saw him on the ground bleeding with his phone on the ground still live. This event effects Malachi long term because he fatally killed himself by showing off a gun on a instagram live and illegally buying weapons. The 18 year od will also most likely be raped in jail if the inmates know what he did. All the young 18 year old had to do was se his head and think and he wouodnt be in jail for up ti 40 years. Take 2 minutes and think or spend half of your life in prison.
The event should have been handled much differently in order forthis event to be acceptable behavior. 1.The 18 year old shouldn't have raped the 17 year old girl and has no exuse to do so. 2.The 18 year old shouldn't of even thught about puting himself raping someone on the internet, he coud have used comon sense and known that no matter what he would be caught.
Some coping mechanisms that could of came into play could have been, 1.He should have thought before acting and should have used common sense because that 2 hour event cost him up to 40 years in prison, I believe actions speak louder than words and this case absolitly shows it. If he would of thought before acting then he would not be spending up to 40 year in prison and i'm sure this 18 year old man learned from his action.
