Mayleigh Reynolds English III Honors Mrs. Owen 1 March 2024 The Foster Care System: A Battle Against Function A child is born innocent, and it is up to the parent to keep it that way for as long as possible. A child should not know about adult topics, come home to a freezing cold bed, or be born with a meth addiction. This is why not every home is suitable, and by proxy, why every parent should not always have a child, but why every child needs a parent. The foster care system provides parents and homes for the children who need them. It brings better and safer environments that are easier to thrive in; however, that too, can have its faults.
