A long time ago an explorer named francisco pizarro sailed for Spain,explored the region of peru, encountered the incas and discovered the city of cuzco and today i will tell you why he explored,the trading and how he encountered the incas .
To start off we need to know a bit of his backstory, Francisco Pizarro was born in Trujillo Spain around the year 1475 to a very poor family,he was the illegitimate son of a former colonel and since Pizarro was illiterate he spent most of his time tending pigs.

In 1502 Pizarro joined the military detachment for the Governor of the Hispaniola, that’s when he crossed the atlantic and reached the new world for the first time,there he took part in various other expeditions around the region.
In 1513 he joined Vasco de Balboa’s expedition and was a member of the crew when Vasco discovered the pacific ocean in 1513.On this mission Pizarro earned most of his military experience.

After this he became a rich landowner in panama and rose to the position of mayor in the city of panama,but Pizarro wasn’t pleased with this position.
