Fundamentals of Macroeconomics Through our online textbook, I come to understand that macroeconomics is the study of the overall economy that provides an analysis of problems with bussiness cycles, inflation, unemployment, and growth. Macroeconomics targets the accumalated links between everyday household consumption ties in with income and how our government policies affect growth of society. Through this paper, I will be presenting three scenarios that civilians within society may encounter and how they interrelate with macroeconomics. These three activities are the purchasing of groceries, massive layoff of employees and the decrease in taxes. Firstly, we will talk about the activitiy of purchasing groceries and how it affects the economy, along with other elements in the system. There are vast amounts of different types of American grocery stores that range from family owned operations, boutique chains, and larger supermarket chain stores. There are also food co-op markets that are run by their shoppers that I have recently been introduced to here in Brooklyn, NY. However, the foods that we see at these grocery stores are farmed and produced from a span of ares across the world. It all comes down to where certain processed foods are produced and whether their country sees a comparitive advantage to go forward in an international trade.
