In addition to the many academic opportunities that Furman offers, a vast amount of extra curricular activities interest me. With a plethora of locations for hiking, biking, and enjoying scenery, it would be difficult to not be flabbergasted by the beauty of the area. I find the biking club very intriguing; especially with the Swamp Rabbit Trail traversing the campus grounds. Also, Paris Mountain offers an immaculate location for mountain biking - and if you enjoy risks like me, longboarding. Only a measly 51 people graduated with a Computer Science major in the state of South Carolina in 2009. That is a small percentage in comparison to the 77% job growth in the field itself. In short, the amount of jobs available in comparison to the amount of workers is astounding.
