I was sitting in the back of the car with Alexa when Matthew Passed me the aux cord and I was faced with a problem when trying to play something. I went to my spotify playlists and I saw two options that I wanted to play: my G-Eazy playlist and my J.Cole playlist, but I was not sure which one I liked more. Trying not to take forever to pick one, I just played it safe and played my funny rap playlist, because I knew it would take too long to decide. This was not the only time I had thought about the comparison between these two artists, but it was the last time before I wrote this paper. When comparing artists like G-Eazy and J. Cole there are a multitude of points of comparisons to consider, but 3 important points of comparison for me in not only this situation, but in general are public view, how I feel about the artist as a person, and how I feel about their music.
When comparing any sort of artist, athlete, or people in general, the public view of them is a very important to consider. The public view of an artist can account for not only the popularity, but the accolades that they receive. It may seem silly, but if you think of awards as how healthy a fruit is then J. Cole is more nutritious than G-Eazy. The pineapple is not the healthiest fruit, but it is up there like how J. Cole is not the most awarded and nominated rapper in modern hip hop, but he is up there and is certainly more awarded than G-Eazy. Also if a pineapple helps fight inflammation and reduce the risk of cancer (Authority Nutrition) just like how J.
