G. I. Joe the Real American Hero, that would be the one for me. I grew up in the ‘80s so G.I. Joe was right in my wheelhouse. Yo Joe started out with Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force in 1964 with the 11 and ½ inch doll figures (Hall, 2004). Then blossoming and expanding into over 60 figures per marketing year to feed the need of the expanding market. The Yo Joe, G.I. Joe the Real American Hero marketing campaign started out with a cartoon one hour movie that introduced you to Duke, Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Cobra Commander, Destro, Flint, and Roadblock.
