The Finding Dulcinea staff proclaimed, he marched to protest the salt law, and he did so without violence even needed. This proves that he protests non-violently because he is marching for a protest with other citizens of the society, and he is doing so without violence needed. He inspired his people to be non-violent through actions such as these. “Will you listen to the appeal of one who was deliberately shunned the method of war…” (Gandhi). His non-violence is shown here because he is talking about how does not even like the idea of war and is doing everything with non-violence. He is even trying to convince Hitler to stop all of his violence because of his own beliefs. He went to prison in Africa for marching and protesting without violence during his march to the sea. After his many marches and protests he still got thrown into prison but he had still done it without harming others. His beliefs of non-violence got him thrown into jail. In summary, Gandhi had inspired many others to protest without violence
