Imagine that you organized peaceful marches and walked endless miles. Imagine you went days without eating to protest. That was part of Mahatma Gandhi's life. Many people make sacrifices to support their beliefs and passions. Two of those people just so happened to be Mahatma Gandhi and Jane Addams. They were both people who pursued their individual passions.

Pursuing your individual passions is very important, because you may not realize it yet, but you can make a difference in the world—or just the people around you. Mahatma Gandhi and Jane Addams both made a difference in the world because of it. Pursuing your passions might be hard, but sometimes the hard work pays off. Like Jane Addams, she picked the hard way because it helped people.
