Disengage the garage door opener and clamp the door in position.
Along the door opener track, pull the handle to disengage garage door opener. Lift the door carefully until the roller aligned back into the track at the area it slipped off; it will be probably large enough to fit back. Once you attain that position, secure the door still by clamping it with locking pliers just below it on both sides of the track.
2. Inspect the door track to identify the cause of the problem.
Ensure you are keen and thorough. Sometimes there may be more than one issues that results in rollers falling off the track. > Start by checking whether the track is firm. Inspect for loose bolts or a dis-aligned track. Use the lever to check if the track is properly aligned. If not, loosen the brackets a little and tap on them until you get the proper alignment. > If the track has accumulated dirt and grime, clean it. A detergent that can dissolve oil will do best. > Lubricate the track well using either silicone spray, household spray or graphite powder if you don't have a spray lubricant. > Tighten any loose parts, bolts and the hinges connecting the panels together.
