Would Gay Marriage Hurt?
Introduction:
No secret that there is a big controversy about the situation of gay marriage. Who has the authority to say that someone can’t fall in love with a person of the same gender? Religion? Government? Some places around the world have already accepted and legalized it. Marriage is a religious principle and by definition is a bonding between a woman and man. But this world is free and people have rights. By definition people are allowed to love and be with whomever they please.
Position 1: Those who disagree with gay marriage have their reasons. One of the main reasons is because traditionally marriage has always been between a woman and a man. Gay people are both actually gay and actually free people to whom the Constitution applies (Goetting). Under the supreme law, every human being is created equally and has the same basic rights. Does being a homosexual separate you from the rest of the society? Truth is society is afraid on change and what may come of the world if homosexual were allowed to marry.
Reconciliation:
If we can agree that marriage is an important bond, we have the basis for reconciling our positions. Gay marriage should not be looked at as being morally wrong. They decide to get married like any other couple. The love and feel like any other human being. It should not be looked as a being harmful to society, but does push aside the traditional marriage. Since the beginning of time, marriage has always been between man and woman. The bible defines this principle. Over time the world changes and different things happen to bring about the changes. If everybody
