Finally in 1980, many governments enforced a law that women cannot go to school. Many women were in protest. In some countries, women haven’t been having education for 36 years now. Some of the first countries where women could not go to school are, Pakistan, Cambodia, and Haiti.

Jane Addams, born on September 6, 1860, in Cedarville, Illinois, was the co-founder of one of the first settlements in the United States called the Hull House. It is located in Chicago, Illinois. In 1889, she was named a co-winner of the 1931 Nobel Peace Prize. Jane Addams also served as the first female president of the National Conference of Social Work, established the National Federation of Settlements. She also served as the president of the Freedom and Women Education department. She sadly died on the year of 1935.

As a kid her life was not the best. Her father ( John H. Addams) was a farmer. Her Mother (Sarah Addams) cleaned other houses. Three of her siblings died when they were infants.
