Anastasia is one of the most contiversial topics talked about to this day. Many people believe that she escaped with her sister to to the United States. Others, believe that she died with her family on the 17th of July. There are very good and convincing arguments from both sides.

Late on the night of July the 17th, Anastasia and her family were awoken by the bolshivicks and taken to a celler where they were told they were getting their picture taken. The unsuspecting faminly sat and gatherd for the last time and were fired at by the bolsheviks. The ladies had their familey jewls sewn into their dresses so the bullets bounced off them. She did everything she could to convince the world she was Anastasia, including writing a book entitled me, Anastasia. After her death, DNA testing prooved she had no relation to the Romanovs. Another popular woman who clamed to be Anastasia was Eugenia Smith. She was a craftsman who distributed a book in the US that contained her journals as the beneficiary who survived by marvel. This animated movie while it is clearly un historically acurate, claims that the Romanovs were having a ball when the bolsheviks stormed in and killed every one.. except Anastasia and her grandmother. while they were running to the train anastasia fell and got amniesa and was put in an orphanage. when she got old enough to leave she went to st. petersburg were she found two men looking for fake anastasias to bring to the grand dutchess. They eventually make their way to paris to find her grandmother. along they way they find that she is the real anastasia and convince the the grand dutchess they have they have her grandaughter.
