Micro level focuses on the individuals and families, mezzo level focuses on the groups and organizations, macro level focuses on the community. On the micro level case management would be the most appropriate field agency when working with this population and issue. Case management is a process of assessing the individual’s total situation and addressing the needs and problems found in that assessment (Summers, 2015). To guarantee the client receives the necessary services the case manager has four basic tasks: assessment, planning, linking, and monitoring. During the assessment task the case manager’s askes a series or relevant questions to help identify the client’s needs/problems. The next task, planning, requires the case manager and client to collaborate to establish specific goals to help resolve any problems that arose during the assessment task. During the task, linking, the case manager connects the client to the necessary agencies that can accommodate their problems. Lastly, the task monitoring, requires the case manage to reach out to the agency to get updates on their clients progress, if any.
