Plague lead to the destruction of this empire because they had a massive population drop and cut off groups of the empire that were needed. Leaving the empire with so much trouble it would not go back to normal.
7. Europe benefited the most in the author’s view because they received everything from trade to technology without paying Mongol Conquest (pg.234) they used all knowledge leaving jobs effortless.
8. They changed the images of Khan into subhuman barbarians because of Asian’s detestable questions from Mongols (pg. 254) they were associated with evil or defective and were cruel masters. Asians were interested in restoring a positive image because they thought of Khan as Asia’s greatest conquerors because of their victories in battle despite small numbers.
9. My general feelings about Genghis Khan and the Mongols are that they were heroic. During that time, you had to do what was necessary to survive and be well respected, which he was. I knew nothing about Genghis Khan and the Mongols so it was an interesting read, and I am glad that I read it and learned new things. I think it is very important to understand history because things need to be taught to us. We don’t know how things were back then and what interesting things happen. History is the reason things are the way they are now so I am appreciative of
