Throughout chapter two Gladwell’s argument states “The emerging picture from such studies is that ten thousand hours of practice is required to achieve the level of mastery associated with being a world class-expert--- in anything.” I agree with Gladwell up to a point that you are not naturally talented and it takes many hours of practice, but not the golden rule he takes on of 10,000 hours making you an expert in anything. There are too many factors that affect how long it takes someone to achieve mastery, for this reason I argue that practicing for 10,000 doesn’t make you an expert.
