George Washington was a colossal influence in the establishment of the United States of America. He is known as the founding father of the country in which millions of individuals call home. Washington made his name by his strong leadership skills. He was made to grow up with unfortunate events in his life at the young age of twenty two. These circumstances left him forced to be self-sufficient and to make a life for himself, which he did very successfully. Leading George Washington to the name he holds today are incidents in his childhood and young adulthood, the time he spent as a Commander in Chief of the United States Army and becoming the First President of the United States of America.

As he was back home at Mt Vernon working as a planter to his crop he was offered an opportunity. In 1787 he was requested to come and supervise Constitutional Convention. Because of the job Washington done at the convention. The people liked his ideas where a new government stood and it led those in control to recommend him for the job. George Washington soon became the First President of the United States of America. He holds many records in addition to being the first President. He was the only Presidential candidate to ever gain one hundred percent of the electoral votes. It seemed that every American who exercised the right to vote voted for Washington. He was voted into office in 1789 and in the year of 1792. Washington was sworn into office on April 30, 1789. The government paid him twenty-five thousand dollars a year for the Presidential job. George Washington did not work behind a political party and did not want the voters to have to take sides. Washington knew is actions as President would set the record of how future Presidents ran the county and was very careful with that. He worked hard to set the bar for the United States. After serving two terms he decided to not serve another term he left the Presidency in 1796. George Washington was a very influential in the development of The United States of America. He gained respect from the American people at a young age. His hard work and dedication before, during and after the Presidency made him the founding father of the place we all call
