Growing up in the ghetto has it’s benefits. Being able to experience the struggle and violence heads on gives children the two options as following: drop out of school and become submitted to your surroundings or go to school and make something out of yourself. In LeAlan Jones case he chose the second choice. Jones documented two stories on the radio with his friend Lloyd Newman. He has now graduated high school and attended Florida State University. Throughout “Ghetto Life 101” and “Remorse” Jonesdemonstates the characteristic of resiliance.One example of this trait occurs when Jonesquestions Janell in “Remorse”.
