A diverse community with nineteen different spoken languages, the City of Glendale is an enclave in Arapahoe County surrounded by the City and County of Denver on all sides. It is a Home Rule Municipality incorporated in 1952 with a population of 4,184 in 2010.

In the 1970s, Glendale City was the nexus of entertainment and nightlife in Metropolitan Denver very much comparable to LoDo of today. It was once famous for its Celebrity Sports Center, an entertainment business landmark in Denver area owned by Walt Disney and other famous celebrities, that operated from 1960 to 1994. Cherry Creek Trail and Bike Path - Running a length of 40 miles from Douglas County to Confluence Park in Downtown Denver, Cherry Creek Trail offers an enjoyable experience for biking and running enthusiasts.
