Goal 1: Overcome CRPS
Following my diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a personal goal has been to return to a normal state. As a result of my condition, I have had to make several lifestyle adjustments and no longer participate in activities I enjoy. The ability to perform normal activities without any complications would improve my quality of life significantly. Unfortunately there is no simple cure or treatment for CRPS, with several approaches proving unsuccessful. Although challenged by this debilitating condition, with optimism and persistence in my rehabilitation, I do believe I can return to a normal state.
Goal 2: Visit Friends
In correspondence to my first goal, I aim to associate with friends more often. A healthy social life and moral support will have a positive effect on my well being and assist in my recovery. Due to the complexity of my condition, I have been unable to attend school or participate in normal activities. This has impacted my social life significantly, limiting opportunities to visit and socialize with my friends. When I am no longer debilitated by CRPS, I will be capable of attending normal school, allowing me to see my friends on a regular basis. Meanwhile, I can negotiate to meet at locations which are both comfortable and convenient.
