The prisoner's dilemma applies here because they each have a conscious choice to do good or bad. Just like the prisoner has the choice to save themselves or take jail time. I know a young man who is sitting in jail as we speak, who is facing kind of the same dilemma just different charges.
He has the choice to tell about the person he saw commit the crime or keep his mouth shut and take the same charges as the one who did the crime. This is similar to the prisoner dilemma game but the difference is its money at stake, not prison time.
If Prisoner A confesses and Prisoner B denies, Prisoner A will be set free, while Prisoner B will be convicted for 10 years, and vice versa.

This girl knew she was going to choose steal and take all the money she did not care what her family or friends thought of her. The man, on the other hand, was a kind, generous man who was thinking of her and her family as if they were his own. Just wanting to make sure they were taken care of and not left out in the cold. To me, it’s a dog eat dog world out here, but if I had the chance to split that much money I would so that two families could benefit, also with my share of the money I could help other people in my community so that the money benefits more
