The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most popular attractions in San Francisco. According to OurSausalito.com, the Golden Gate Bridge’s full length is 8,981 feet including the approaches. This long span connects Marin County and San Francisco into one. This bridge is the color of rust and stands tall at 746 feet. GoldenGatebridge.org states that since opening in 1937 more than 2,025,883,491 vehicles have crossed the Golden ghate Bridge not including pedestrians. The Golden Gate Bridge is a great choice for an outing with out-of-town guests because of its history, view and its opportunity exercise.

When walking, running or riding across the Golden Gate Bridge you will enjoy yourself and complete your daily exercise. The bridge is 1.5 miles long so if you run across and back it’s 3 miles. On one side of the Golden Gate Bridge there is a pedestrian lane for people who want to walk and run. then on the other side of the Bridge there is a bike lane for the people who want to enjoy their time riding their way across the bridge. On one side of the bridge there is a bike rental place so people can rent bikes to cross the golden gate bridge. Biking isn’t the only way people get across the bridge. Many people run and lots of people walk. “Surprisingly I got a lot of exercise. I was there with Miguel, and as a tanker sailed beneath the bridge the two of us started sprinting to the exact spot where the tanker crossed under. Miguel made it there, unfortunately I was too slow but the experience is one of my fondest memories” (Clara Gorek).Many people experience some of their greatest memories while getting their exercise on the Golden Gate bridge just like Clara Gorek. So no matter if you are just taking a stroll or running a marathon you will always get a little exercise on the Golden Gate
