Animals have been working for and serving human beings since the beginning of time. So it is not surprising that man domesticated them long ago for the purpose of their most efficient use and abilities. Some of the most favored of the civilized breed are brought forth in the domesticated dog. They are most widely known for adopting families as their personal “tribe” and bring love to human beings as household pets. Dog lovers should consider Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, and Dachshunds as family pets for the value of their home. Firstly, Golden Retrievers are loveable, loyal dogs, though quite large, are excellent for young children. As mentioned before, Golden Retrievers weigh 55-75 pounds, with a coat ranging in colors from creams to apparently, golden. As their name implies, these dogs retrieve objects for a living, being intelligent enough to fetch waterfowl from the water, a favorite activity among Goldens. Out of many occupations, Golden Retrievers are trained for, a few that stand out are guiding and hearing for the visually and orally impaired, and search and rescue, having to friendly a temperament to be an adequate guard dog.
