Good Vs. Bad Cop: Unjustifiable Crimes

We all know the saying “Good Cop vs. Bad Cop”, we are also fully aware of their job description. Their main focus is to protect people, their properties, make traffic stops, arrest individuals, issue citations, and even enforce laws. At times they get into dangerous situations where drastic actions and measures have to be taken. But, what if the officers themselves don’t abide by the rules? You would expect them to be prosecuted/ fired. In most cases, officers have only been given probation or suspension, this type of punishment seems very minor for all of the unjustifiable crimes in which some of them commit. Police officers have gotten above the law and are now able to abuse their powers knowing that little will be done. With that being said, the government should form a new policy specially made for law enforcement officers. Within this policy, a signal sending device should be placed in all of the officers’ cars. An example of another thing they do and get away with is when they are stuck in traffic like everyone else, they slow down, and turn on their siren just to get by. It is very obvious that the siren was purposely turned on, because as soon as they get to their required destination, they would turn it off. If a regular driver decides to keep his blinkers on, and keep honking his horn because he has no siren, just to get by, an officer would pull him over, and this would result in a citation and possibly his license will be
