Decreasing Drug use in the United States
Gore Vidal in the article, Drugs, explains that drugs used in the United States will never stop no matter what. Even if it is legal or illegal, some will gain illegal drugs, mostly through crime. Vidal supports his argument to decrease drug use by suggesting to legalize illegal drugs and selling them at cost meaning no profit to the seller. All effects are going to be labeled on each drug which will allow Americans to consider if they want to do these drugs or not. This will decrease illegal drug use and the crimes of those who partake them but will not completely stop because there are always going to be drug addicts out there. People have the choice to do drugs and their addiction is on their part.
