1. Locate 10 Scripture texts from the Gospels that show Jesus challenging unjust authority.
2. Choose one passage and write a newspaper article on Jesus’ actions.
3. They then conduct a media search to locate a contemporary example of a Christian challenging unjust authority.

25. Example: Matthew 4:22-24 - Jesus heals people with disease and illness. In the time of Jesus, people where excluded form the community because of their illness. The wider community was afraid of people who had disease – they we afraid that they would catch the disease. People with skin diseases were also seen as sinners and were being punished. When Jesus heals them, he forgives them their sins and brings them back into the community. Contemporary example
