This sparks some interest in the mind of Macbeth and fills his brain with deep desire of power and glory. Due to the witches' predictions, Macbeth becomes hungry for power and begins imagining morally wrong deeds. Since Macbeth heard the prophecies, he became inclined to make the crown his own. He was filled with a desire that he wanted to fulfill at any costs. He even began thinking of ways to get the crown. The three witches have left and Ross comes to tell Macbeth that he has been named Thane of Cawdor. Once loyal Macbeth turned depraved, when he heard prophecies which changed his life around for the worse. Then, Lady Macbeth is willing to do anything to attain power which causes her to lose her gentle and caring side of her personality. Lastly, to achieve his goals of advancing to a position of power, Macbeth uses the means of murder to fulfill his greed for power. Desire is like a wish but greed is wanting to possess more than one needs or even deserves.
