In life, greed determines the overall well-being and intensions of single person. An example of greed can be a student in class who takes credit for the hard work of others and receives a grade that they shouldn’t have gotten. Vanity is the excessive pride in or admiration of one’s own appearance or achievements. It is also the quality of being worthless or futile. An examples of vanity is a girl thinking she is the prettiest girl in the world- making others feel as if they were less. Vanity defines the person’s motives as well as their personality, which can affect the relationship he or she has with others. Pride is a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. An example of pride is someone bragging to others how perfect they are- a student taking pride in his or her own achievements, continuously reminding others.
In the world today, there are many examples of people, and or things that relate to the idea that all evil is rooted in “greed, vanity and pride.” An example of these three different, yet similar, characteristics is the issue of bullying.
