There are hundreds of thousands of students involved with greek life and millions of alumni around the nation. Several students are filled with pressures of being successful in life and they may not always know the right path to take. More and more college students are pursuing fraternities or sororities affiliation. Perhaps this is because of the benefits associated with them. It is important to understand what greek life may offer students. Throughout the college search process the option of greek life on campus may be a deciding factor, and others may not want to be a part of greek life at all. My goal is to provide strong information to conclude that greek life is correlated with student success. I expect to see students who are involved with greek life will acquire higher grade point averages and overall success in involvement during and after college. Although everyone has their own experiences, a correlation can be found to enhance knowledge on advantages. There may be times where success is connected with different factors, hopefully including greek life. In the future, the purpose of greek life should be to benefit individuals and seek opportunities to create greater success. There is not a simple answer for whether or not joining greek life will contribute to a student. A study was done to collect information to conclude if being a part of a fraternity or sorority enhances students in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and friendship. Students had to conduct a survey to answer questions based on how they feel greek life has helped them. Overall the results for greek life experience were “excellent” in providing social interactions and a sense of belonging and “good” at developing certain skills.
