Millions of years ago, wolves had more complex and durable leg bones. Their leg bones back then were very sturdy because they would have 2 bones connecting to a leg which meant they would move a lot to the point where the wolf would be able to grow another leg bone supporter. The Grey wolf came from the carnivorous species which helped them develop their sharp teeth. The canines on the mouth can be seen to be very sharp and long so they can dig their teeth into their prey. Their skull shape is also very similar to the wolf today which makes it very easy to see what kind of ancestors they had and how they were closely related.
