The Zorro and Davy Crockett series were extremely popular with children, as was The Mickey Mouse Club, a variety show featuring a cast of teenagers known as the Mouseketeers. Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color was a popular Sunday night show. His versions of fairy tales, such as, Rapunzel and Cinderella where considered more child friendly than that of the Grimm brothers. Rapunzel never gets pregnant and the evil step sisters keep their toes in Disney’s version. In the Grimm Brothers’ tale, the sea witch actually cuts of her tongue, but in the movie, they have the sea witch store it in one of her magic shells. Also in the movie, Disney leaves out the other part of the deal Little Mermaid made with the sea witch. (Disney) When Little Mermaid drinks the potion to make her human, it will feel like a sharp sword is going through her. In addition to this, whenever she walks, although she will have graceful movements, it will feel like she is treading on sharp knives. This will hurt so bad it will make her feet bleed. (Grimm
