A reason why the government wants to continue the hunt is because of the $40 000 it brings in annually, but this plan has no longevity. Once the Grizzly Bears become endangered or even worse, extinct how is the money going to come in? 84% of BC’s population wants to make opportunities for the public to learn more about the Grizzly Bears first hand through tourism. Having visitors come and see these beautiful creatures is a great way to earn money and sustain the Grizzly Bears. Organizations may not get the support right now, but they are still creating tours for people to see the Grizzly Bears. If they get more money from this plan, then maybe they can stop the government from using the excuse of having a better economy by killing Grizzly Bears.
