Book Review : Effect On World Poverty

Grudem “Business for the Glory of God” explains how believers can glorify God through business. This book is an excellent example on how to integrate business and Christian discipline’s. Every chapter defines how Christians and businesses can be a blessing to the world and glorify God. Grudem connects biblical points of view with business teachings. This book gives you solution in business and how to honor God. Although I don’t agree with every point of view of Grudem, but the messages are understood and will be put into my good works as a Christian. We first must deal with inequality judging of people because of their income and living condition. In the eyes of God, we are all equal, because we were created in the image of God (Gen 1:27). Solutions starts with children by educating them in a classroom to build a solid foundation for change. Global businesses owner need to help build infrastructure in the urban areas to sustain growth. Businesses in poor countries around the world need to become innovated to ensure more jobs. Microloans in the countries who need the additional financing to start businesses, support from Christian leaders to help them realize there is a God who loves them deeply. "When you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord –and he pays wonderful interest on your loan! (Proverb 19:17) When Christians help needy families the children of the families have a better chance at succeeding. Democracy in the areas need to be improved so the corruption can be stopped and impact of poverty can fade away. Poor countries need to find ways to fix their debt problem often times when a country is economic deprived it can cause the whole nation into deeper debt with most of its people.Example.Haiti is one the world poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere 80% of its people live below poverty line. (CIA World book factbook) According to the latest survey 6 out of 10 people live $2.41 that is well below the poverty line. Some people live on less than that per day at $1.23. The governments are the real problem that is causing poverty debt monies that owed to other countries take out a loan to pay one back then there is a never-ending cycle forces a country deeper into debt. Poverty in this country is continuing to grow seven years after that devastating earthquake with millions of people who are still need
