On September 11, 2001, over 3,000 people were killed after suicide bombers crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. The damage could’ve been even more devastating if four heroic Americans hadn’t stepped in and crash-landed the fourth plane, sacrificing their lives in the process. America has never been the same since. Terrorism became real to us that day, and it’s only gotten worse in the 15 years since this tragic attack. But you guys all know this. What a ton of you don’t know is that the captured terrorists, among them Kaleed Sheek Muhhammad and Romsey Bin Al Sheed, men who have admitted to being involved in 9/11 “from A to Z,” are being held at Guan-tan-amo Bay Detention, and some people actually want to shut down this jail and free them.

A lot of you probably don't know what Guan-tan-amo Bay, also known as GITMO, is. It’s basically a prison base located in Cuba that holds the deadliest terrorists in the world. The detainees there are represented by a civilian and military counsel, and the Supreme Court has ruled that they have the constitutional right of habeas corpus, or more commonly known as a trial. The conditions of detention there are safe, secure, and humane, and they comply with national and international standards, including Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, meaning their system ISN’T meant to torture.

You claim that the detainees are put under torture, but a lot of this is not actually considered torture. It’s mostly just stressful conditions that are unfortunately what come from being in prison for terrorist crimes. I hope you’re kidding about your dad torturing people at Guantanamo, because if you’re not, he could be prosecuted on the grounds of war crime. He was not sanctioned to do
