Colin Singleton lives in Chicago with his best friend and love of his life Katherine. Colin has everything going for him especially after being accepted into his dream college and high school had ended really well for him. Plot twist! Colin's girlfriend breaks up with him and he starts to have a breakdown on him never finding love from anyone. Oh, and forgot to mention, he only dates girls named Katherine and not any other way, Katherine with a capital case K. After this, Colin tries everything he can to get her back, but she’s headed to summer camp and doesn’t seem to have any feelings left for Colin anymore. They then meet Lindsey Lee Wells, one the of the most popular girl in the town. She's pretty to Colin and really nice, but remember, her name isn't Katherine. So they take the tour and it doesn't go really as planned, Colin gets a head injury but Lindsey is a paramedic in training and tries to help him. This helps Colin have his “eureka” moment where he thinks of a formula on how long a couple will stay together and if the girl or boy will end the relationship. They all try to get along but Colin
S. has a weird feeling about Colin (boyfriend) and doesn’t really get along with all her friends. Hassan has different feelings towards them though. So now, they start their job as town interviewers and start going around and asking people what it’s like living in that place. This is where the boys see a different side of Lindsey every time they go to do a new interview and they see how much the people love her and the small town they live in. After all this happens, Colin and Hassan start to really get used to living there too. Only problem, Hassan starts to be friends with Lindsey’s friends and Colin, would stay home and work on his love formula, which didn’t seem to be working at all and he’d have to reminisce about all his ex-girlfriends but then, starts to realize that most his girlfriend’s broke up with him because of something he did. So now, Colin is losing his best friend who’s now dating Lindsey’s best friend, Katrina, and now has a different idea of love. He starts to feel a certain way for Lindsey too, and she starts to feel it too. They start to hang out a little bit more and then when it’s time to be with her friends, they find something out about Colin (boyfriend) and Hassan’s girlfriend Katrina.
